Seven Canyons World Innovators and Strategic Global Announce Manager Changes
SALT LAKE CITY, February 22, 2022 – Seven Canyons Advisors announced that Josh Stewart, co-manager of Seven Canyons World Innovators and Strategic Global Funds, has decided to leave the firm to pursue other business interests. Spencer Stewart, a co-manager of both strategies since 2019, and Andrey Kutuzov, named co-manager to both earlier this year, will continue to co-manage the funds. Josh Stewart will remain with the firm into the second quarter to assure a smooth transition.
“We are grateful for Josh’s contributions to Seven Canyons and are glad we had a chance to work together,” said Spencer Stewart. “While we are prepared to assume his investment responsibilities, we expect to add to our team and continue to look for additional experienced investment talent.”
Josh joined Seven Canyons in 2018. Prior to Seven Canyons, Josh spent 12 years at Wasatch Global Investors, most recently as lead manager of the Wasatch World Innovators Fund (now Seven Canyons World Innovators Fund).
Spencer Stewart co-founded Seven Canyons in 2017. Prior to Seven Canyons, he was a portfolio manager at Grandeur Peak Funds where he managed the Grandeur Peak Emerging Markets Opportunity Fund. He co-managed the Grandeur Peak International Opportunities and the Grandeur Peak Global Reach Funds. Before joining Grandeur Peak, Spencer worked at Sidoti & Company and Wasatch Advisors.
Andrey Kutuzov joined Seven Canyons in 2020from Wasatch Advisors where he was a portfolio manager and senior analyst. At Wasatch, he co-managed the Wasatch Emerging Markets Small Cap Fund. He is a CFA charter holder and worked as a CPA in Deloitte’s audit practice.
