Investment Objective

The Strategic Income Fund seeks to provide a stable return and capture current income. A secondary objective is long-term growth of capital and income. The fund invests primarily in income-producing domestic and foreign securities, which may include equity and fixed-income securities.

Investment Strategy

This fund is not managed as a balanced portfolio. At times, one type of security may make up a substantial portion of the fund, while at other times certain securities may have minimal or no representation. The fund may invest in exchange-traded funds (ETFs). It may also make short sales of securities and use derivatives for hedging and non-hedging purposes.

Fund Manager

Sam Stewart

Sam Stewart is the lead Portfolio Manager of the Seven Canyons Income Fund and a Portfolio Manager on the Seven Canyons World Innovators Fund.  He was also the founder of Wasatch Advisors and over his 43-year tenure at Wasatch he helped build the company into an internationally known brand in global small-cap investing with assets of over $17 billion as of March 31, 2018.


Spencer Stewart is a Portfolio Manager and Founding Partner of Seven Canyons Advisors. Prior to Seven Canyons, he worked at Grandeur Peak Funds as a senior research analyst, and as portfolio manager of the Grandeur Peak Emerging Opportunities Fund, the Grandeur Peak International Opportunities Fund, and the Grandeur Peak Global Reach Fund.


Josh StewartJosh Stewart is the lead Portfolio Manager of the Seven Canyons World Innovators Fund. Previously to joining Seven Canyons Josh worked as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst at Wasatch Advisors and as an Analyst at Sidoti & Company.  Under Sam and Josh’s management, the World Innovators Fund received the 2018 Lipper Fund Award for best Global Multi-Cap Growth fund for the 10 year period ending 2018.

*The Fund was organized as a successor to the Wasatch Strategic Income Fund (the "Predecessor Fund"), a series of Wasatch Funds Trust. The Predecessor Fund was reorganized with and into the Fund on September 10, 2018.
